Activities of the day

HI!:
Today we visited the city of Cardiff. We did many activities during the day and we enjoyed it a lot.
First when we woke up we went to the park and played a little bit, and then we went to the center.

Then, we visited the center of the city where we saw some shops, the museum, the city hall and one of the oldest churches.

Later, we returned to the park to take a boat. There were beautiful views, and we enjoyed it a lot. from there, we could see lots of boats and birds.

After that, when we had lunch in a very big square where there were a lot of birds seeing us how we ate and when a sandwich fell on the floor a bird ran to eat it when we weren´t  watching.

Finally, today we visited the central museum of Cardiff.

We think that today was a very interesting day, tomorrow we will tel you more.

The River House Backpackers

We arrived at the hostal at 01:00 am., it was very late. The corridor was very narrow and the bunk beds a little bit unconfortable for some people like me, but that was not important. The breakfast was delicious. We eat: cereals, cakes, toasts, milk, juice... There was also a room with a televison, a Wii and a computer. The rooms have beutiful pictures and some wardrobes. The boys slept on the first floor, the girls on the second floor and onv the third one, some teachers.

The bad rooms were very good. There were two of them. They have toilets and showers. The kitchen is very nice, it has an old chimney; the stairs have a  beautiful red carpet. In the hostal there were other people that wanted to sleep too and we need to keep silent.

The first day in Cardiff! 30/04/11

Today , Saturday, 30 of April, we arrieved at the hostel, The Riverhouse Backpackers, at 1:00 o´clock. All the members of this excursion were very tired and we went to bed. The next day, some of the persons had problems waking up. They told us that the day was going to be a bit relaxing because we were going to visit lots of things but not to many.
Today we ate lots. For breakfast we had apple juice, orange juice and milk. We ate toast with Nutella, we could eat fresh fruit, yoghurt, croisants and cereals. We thougth that the people from this hostal were helpful because they washed the dishes for us.
Something very funny things today were that a bridge moved when we were on it and some policemen took photos with us.

The last day in Darlington

Today half of the group went to a natural park called South Park in Darlington. We had a fantastic time! We played games, explored the plants and the animals, we fed the ducks, the geese, the squirrels and the swans; then we collected flowers and leaves, and stuck them on a piece of adhesive paper. Debbie, the park ranger, explained many interesting things to us, like information about squirrels and bats (yes, there are bats in Darlington). We ate on a patch of beautiful, green grass. It was great!

The other half of the group went to Whinfield School. We spent the morning doing activities in the classrooms. There was an assembly in which Spanish and English children competed in a quiz. There were questions about England and Spain. Then, we were divided into small groups and we went to infant classes to learn how the children study here. School lunch was pork, potatoes, broccoli, and carrots. It was delicious. Later, we went to the playground and played games and sports. We learned cricket and rounders, a sort of baseball. It was awesome!

In the afternoon, there was a party for all of us. The people who went to the park came to school, and we danced for almost two hours. The best part was when they played Thriller, by Michael Jackson. We all danced together, because we learned it for Halloween. The English people were impressed.
This is all for today. We hope you liked this post. See you soon!
